Shopify integration services for the systems an app does not cover.
Shopify integration services start where the App Store stops: an ERP with customer-specific pricing, a PIM that owns your product data, a warehouse or 3PL, a CRM, or a marketplace that needs your stock in real time. IWD delivers Shopify and Shopify Plus integration services for each of them, built on Shopify's GraphQL Admin API, webhooks, and B2B features, so orders, inventory, and customer terms move between systems without anyone retyping them.
Shopify integration problems that cost your team hours every day.
Shopify runs the storefront well. The trouble starts in the systems around it, where prices, stock, and customer terms are actually decided. These are the symptoms we hear most before a Shopify integration project starts.
Orders are exported to the ERP by hand
Someone downloads Shopify orders every morning and keys them into the ERP, so fulfillment waits on data entry and every typo reaches the warehouse.
Inventory is right in one place and wrong everywhere else
Stock updates from the ERP or the 3PL once a day, so Shopify, your wholesale store, and your marketplaces all keep selling units that already shipped.
Wholesale buyers see retail prices
Customer-specific pricing and net terms live in the ERP, but Shopify shows everyone the same catalog, so B2B buyers email their orders instead of placing them.
Product data lives in three spreadsheets
Descriptions, specs, and images are edited in a PIM or a spreadsheet and copied into Shopify by hand, so the store is always a step behind the catalog.
The app stack has outgrown the apps
Each system got its own connector app, the apps do not talk to each other, and when one falls behind during a sale nobody notices until customers do.
Shopify ERP integration, PIM, WMS, CRM, and marketplaces: the systems we connect to Shopify.
Every system around the store owns a different part of the truth. We decide with you which one owns each record, then connect it to Shopify through an app where one fits and custom code where it does not.
Shopify ERP integration
ERP integration with Shopify covers customers and companies, price lists, inventory by location, orders, fulfillments, invoices, and returns. For Europa Eyewear we are building a Commercient SYNC integration between Shopify Plus and Aptean SouthWare that syncs orders, customers, inventory, pricing, fulfillments, and returns in both directions, replacing a 15-year-old custom middleware layer.
Shopify PIM integration
When a PIM owns product content, Shopify should receive it, not compete with it. We map PIM attributes to Shopify products, variants, metafields, and metaobjects, and run large catalog updates as bulk operations so they do not crowd out live order traffic.
Shopify WMS integration and 3PLs
Warehouse and 3PL systems need orders the moment they are ready to ship, and they need to send tracking and stock back. We build on Shopify's fulfillment orders and inventory by location, so split shipments, several warehouses, and backorders post correctly in both systems.
Shopify CRM integration
Customers, orders, and B2B companies synced to Salesforce, HubSpot, or the CRM your sales team works in, so reps see what each account buys online and marketing works from current consent and purchase data.
Marketplace integrations
Offers, pricing, and inventory published from Shopify to marketplaces, with marketplace orders flowing back into the same order path. For Europa Eyewear we are connecting the American Optical and EyeBobs brands to Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's through Mirakl, with marketplace orders routed into the existing Shopify-to-ERP flow.
Shopify API integration and middleware
For systems with no connector, we write the Shopify middleware ourselves: a small service that listens to Shopify webhooks, calls the other system's API, retries on failure, and logs every message. When the logic belongs inside Shopify itself, we build it as a custom app.
More detail by ERP: Microsoft Dynamics ecommerce integration and Sage 100 ecommerce integration, each with its own Shopify section.
Shopify Plus integrations for B2B companies, catalogs, and payment terms.
B2B on Shopify gives wholesale buyers company accounts, their own catalogs, and terms. Each of those has to agree with the ERP, or reps end up correcting orders after they arrive. This is where most Shopify B2B integration work sits.
Companies and locations
ERP customers and ship-to addresses mapped to Shopify companies and company locations, with buyers as contacts and the right ordering permissions at each location.
Catalogs and buying-group pricing
ERP price lists mapped to Shopify B2B catalogs, so each company sees its own products and prices. For Europa Eyewear we are mapping customer-specific price lists to the buying-group structure, so each eyecare account sees its negotiated pricing on login.
Payment terms, POs, and approvals
Net terms, purchase order numbers, and order approvals carried into the ERP as the right transaction type. We are building Net 30/60 terms with PO fields and order-approval workflows on Shopify B2B for Europa Eyewear.
Shopify Plus ERP integration
Shopify Plus adds higher API rate limits, Shopify Functions in custom apps, and expansion stores for new regions or brands. We design the ERP integration so each store posts to the right company, and so a later ERP change swaps the connector rather than the storefront, the approach we are taking with Europa Eyewear.
Wholesale on Shopify Plus is a bigger project than the integration alone. Our Shopify Plus B2B services team designs company accounts, catalogs, and reorder flows around your ERP data from the start, and our B2B ecommerce development work covers the wider wholesale build.

Shopify inventory sync and order flows built for Shopify's API limits.
Shopify meters API traffic, and an integration that ignores the limits works in testing and then falls behind on the first busy sale. We design every sync around how Shopify actually delivers and accepts data.
GraphQL Admin API and query cost
Shopify's GraphQL Admin API limits requests by calculated query cost, and Shopify Plus stores get a higher limit. We write queries that ask only for what the sync needs and throttle against the cost Shopify reports back with every response.
Bulk operations for large catalogs
Full catalog, price, and inventory loads run as bulk operations, which Shopify processes asynchronously, so a complete catalog refresh does not compete with live orders for the rate limit.
Webhooks with reconciliation
Webhooks tell the integration when an order, a customer, or a stock level changes. Shopify does not guarantee every delivery, so we pair webhooks with scheduled reconciliation jobs that catch anything missed.
Shopify inventory sync by location
Available quantity synced per Shopify location from the ERP, WMS, or 3PL that owns it, on the schedule your order volume needs, so the store, the wholesale channel, and the marketplaces sell from the same numbers.
Shopify Functions and metafields
Custom pricing, shipping, and checkout rules can run inside Shopify as Shopify Functions. Functions read their input from Shopify, so the ERP values they depend on, such as customer-specific rules, are synced to metafields ahead of time.
Idempotency, retries, and alerts
Every message carries an ID so a retried webhook never creates a duplicate order, failed calls retry with backoff, and alerts reach a person before a customer notices a missing shipment.
Shopify integration solutions: choose an app or a custom build by your rules.
The Shopify App Store has a connector for most popular systems, and for standard records an app is often the right answer. We start from your pricing, fulfillment, and account rules, not from the method we would prefer to sell.
| Connector app | Custom middleware or app | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | One store, standard products and orders, and a system the app already supports | B2B pricing and terms, several stores or warehouses, custom fields, or a system with no app |
| Speed to launch | Fastest when your data already fits the app's model | Designed with your team, then tested against real orders |
| Flexibility | Limited to the fields and flows the app vendor supports | Any rule your business needs, written once and documented |
| Monitoring | Whatever logging and alerts the app exposes | Logging, retries, and alerts designed around your order flows |
| Who maintains it | The app vendor, plus your configuration | IWD under a support plan, or your own team with our documentation |
| From our work | Commercient SYNC and the Mirakl Connect app in the Europa Eyewear build | The team behind Dominate's NetSuite connector for Shopify |
Many projects use both: a connector app for the standard records and custom code for the rules that make your business different. Running NetSuite? See our Shopify NetSuite integration services, or Dominate for a self-serve connector.
Integration work across platforms.
Europa Eyewear's Shopify Plus replatform with Commercient SYNC and Mirakl, which we are building now, plus two ERP integrations on Adobe Commerce: DMC's Infor SyteLine sync and the Sage 100 integration we are building for Inyo Pools.

Europa Eyewear
The Shopify Plus wholesale platform we are building, with SparkLayer B2B and a Mirakl marketplace, for a global eyewear house.

DMC
An Adobe Commerce storefront with deep catalog and inventory integration for an aerospace and defense tooling manufacturer.

Inyo Pools
The Hyva Adobe Commerce platform we are building for a high-traffic pool and spa parts retailer.
A Shopify integration partner that stays after launch.
Same senior team from kickoff to launch and beyond. We do not outsource, we do not disappear after go-live, and we do not hand you off.
Across every phase. Discovery, build, launch, and growth, the same senior team stays with you.

Our job is to get you promoted.
You're going to love coming to work. Think of us as an extension of your team, here whenever you need us. Our mission is simple: your store wins, and so do you.
A Shopify integration company that builds the store too.
Most integration problems sit between vendors: the agency that built the store, the app developer, and the team that runs the ERP or the warehouse. IWD builds the Shopify store and the integrations around it, so one team is accountable for an order getting from checkout to the ERP, the warehouse, and back to the customer.
Shopify Plus B2B integration in build
We are replatforming Europa Eyewear onto Shopify Plus with SparkLayer B2B, buying-group pricing, and a Commercient SYNC integration to Aptean SouthWare.
The team behind Dominate
Our team built Dominate's NetSuite connector for Shopify, so we know Shopify's APIs from the connector side as well as the store side.
ERP-proof architecture
We design integrations so a later ERP change swaps the connector, not the storefront your buyers already know.
Honest scoping
If an app from the Shopify App Store covers your records, we recommend it. Custom work is for the rules that need it.
A Shopify integration mapped with operations and finance before anything is built.
Record ownership, timing, and error handling differ in every business. Agreeing on them first is what keeps the integration quiet after launch.
Assess
A 30-minute call on your Shopify plan, the systems around the store, and what has to sync. If an app already covers it, we tell you and point you to it.
Map
We document which system owns products, prices, inventory, customers, and orders, the timing for each record, and how errors are handled, with your operations and finance leads.
Build and test
We configure the connector or build the middleware and custom app, then run real orders through every customer type, location, payment term, and fulfillment path on a development store.
Go live and support
We switch on live sync, watch API usage and error logs through the first weeks, and support the integration as Shopify's APIs, your catalog, and your systems change.
What teams ask before connecting Shopify to the rest of the business.
The questions we hear most on the first call. If yours isn't here, just ask.
What do Shopify integration services include?
Shopify integration services cover everything between Shopify and the systems around it: deciding which system owns each record, mapping fields, syncing products, prices, inventory, customers, and orders, carrying Shopify Plus B2B companies, catalogs, and payment terms, connecting marketplaces, building custom apps or middleware where no app fits, and supporting the integration after launch.
How does ERP integration with Shopify work?
The ERP usually owns customers, prices, inventory, and financial records, and Shopify owns the storefront and checkout. The integration reads ERP data into Shopify on a schedule or through events, and posts Shopify orders, payments, and returns back to the ERP. For Europa Eyewear we are building this with Commercient SYNC to Aptean SouthWare, covering orders, customers, inventory, pricing, fulfillments, and returns in both directions.
Should we use a Shopify app or a custom integration?
Use an app when you run one store with standard products and orders and the app already supports your system. Choose custom work when B2B pricing and terms, several stores or warehouses, custom fields, or a system with no app are involved. Many projects combine both, and we will tell you on the first call if an app is enough.
What changes with Shopify Plus integrations?
Shopify Plus stores get higher API rate limits, can run Shopify Functions from custom apps, and can add expansion stores, while Shopify's B2B features give wholesale buyers companies, catalogs, and payment terms. Each of those changes how the integration is designed, especially how B2B companies and price lists map to ERP customers and price levels.
Can you integrate a PIM, WMS, or 3PL with Shopify?
Yes. A PIM integration maps product attributes to Shopify products, variants, metafields, and metaobjects, with bulk operations for large updates. A WMS or 3PL integration sends orders when they are ready to ship and returns tracking and stock by location, built on Shopify's fulfillment orders so split shipments and multiple warehouses post correctly.
How do you handle Shopify API rate limits?
Shopify limits API traffic for each app on each store, with higher limits on Shopify Plus. We keep queries lean, run large catalog and inventory loads as bulk operations, queue changes during sales, and pair webhooks with reconciliation jobs, because Shopify does not guarantee that every webhook is delivered.
We run NetSuite. Can you connect it to Shopify?
Yes. Our NetSuite integration services team handles NetSuite projects that need custom B2B pricing, several stores, or other systems in the same flow. For a standard sync, Dominate, the NetSuite connector for Shopify built by our team, offers self-serve setup on dominate.co.
Do you support the integration after launch?
Yes. Shopify releases a new API version every quarter, and your catalog, apps, stores, and back-office systems keep changing. We provide ongoing monitoring, API version updates, and mapping changes alongside the rest of your Shopify work.
