Magento SAP integration and SAP Business One ecommerce, with SAP in charge.
Magento SAP integration and SAP Business One ecommerce integration solve the same problem: your store should show each buyer the price, stock, and terms SAP already holds, and every web order should reach SAP without anyone typing it in. IWD connects Magento, Adobe Commerce, Shopify, and BigCommerce stores to SAP Business One and SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA), through APIs, middleware, or scheduled file exchange, whichever your SAP setup supports best.
SAP Business One ecommerce and SAP ERP problems we are called in to fix.
SAP is usually where the real business rules live: business partners, price lists, pricing conditions, warehouses, and sales organizations. When the storefront does not read those rules, your team fills the gap by hand. These are the symptoms we hear on almost every first call.
Web orders are keyed into SAP by hand
Orders arrive by email or export and someone re-enters them as SAP sales orders, so every rush order waits for a person and every typo reaches the warehouse.
SAP pricing never reaches the store
Price lists, special prices, and customer conditions are maintained in SAP, but buyers see list price online and call their rep for the number they were quoted.
Stock is one export behind
Inventory comes from a nightly export, or from one warehouse only, so the store sells stock that is already allocated and backorders surprise customers after checkout.
The SAP team and the web team speak different languages
SAP expects IDocs, BAPIs, or a load file in an agreed format, while the storefront team expects a REST API. Projects stall in the gap between the two.
One store runs on more than one ERP
A product line, a region, or an acquired brand runs on a different ERP, and nobody has decided which system each order line belongs to.
SAP Business One or SAP ERP: the system decides how you connect.
SAP Business One and SAP ERP are different products with different integration paths, and most companies have customized theirs. One note before we start: this page is about connecting your storefront to SAP Business One or SAP ERP, not about SAP Commerce Cloud, which is SAP's own storefront product.
SAP Business One
SAP Business One is SAP's ERP for small and midsize businesses. Most SAP B1 integration work goes through the Service Layer, a REST API, or the older DI API, often with a connector or middleware your SAP partner already supports. We map business partners, price lists and special prices, items and warehouses, sales orders, deliveries, and A/R invoices, and carry user-defined fields where your setup has them.
SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)
SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA are usually run by an internal SAP team or a long-term SAP partner, with integration standards already in place. Data moves through IDocs, BAPIs called over RFC, OData services, or scheduled file loads, usually through an integration layer the SAP team owns. We fit the storefront to those standards instead of asking SAP to change for the website.
SAP alongside a second ERP
Some manufacturers run SAP next to another ERP for certain product lines or regions. We decide with you which system owns each product and each order line, then route every line to the ERP that owns it.
Magento SAP integration for a Fortune 500 parts store, built on scheduled files.
Not every SAP ERP integration needs a live API. For a Fortune 500 equipment manufacturer's Magento Commerce parts store, we built one on scheduled file exchange: orders went out to SAP as SAP-ready files over SFTP on a fixed schedule, and inventory came back from SAP as files for Magento to import.
The parts platform around this integration, with a parts finder by machine and serial number, serialized compatibility, and automated parts-data import with freight mapping, is written up in our Fortune 500 OEM case study.
Orders out as SAP-ready files
Web orders were exported as SAP-ready load files in Winshuttle format and delivered over SFTP, first hourly and later every 15 minutes.
Inventory in by warehouse
Inventory files from SAP were imported into Magento's multi-source inventory by warehouse, so each source showed the stock SAP reported for it.
Every order type in the same export
Online training course orders went to SAP in the same scheduled export as parts orders, so the ERP saw every sale the store took.
SAP ecommerce integration for four platforms, each with its own rules.
The same SAP setup behaves differently behind each storefront. Here is where the work sits on each platform, and where to read more about the platform side.
Magento SAP integration
We build Magento 2 SAP integration as custom modules with a message queue, so reindexes, upgrades, and traffic peaks do not drop orders. A Magento SAP Business One integration usually connects to the Service Layer or your existing connector, maps business partners to customer groups and special prices to tier prices, and sends orders from Magento to SAP Business One as sales orders with tax and freight intact. SAP ERP projects get the same queued design, whether the transport is an API or a scheduled file.
Adobe Commerce SAP integration
Adobe Commerce B2B adds company accounts, shared catalogs, quotes, and purchase order approvals, and each one has to map to an SAP business partner or sold-to account, a price list or pricing condition, and the right document type. The Fortune 500 parts store above ran on Magento Commerce, the edition now sold as Adobe Commerce.
Shopify SAP Business One integration
Shopify SAP integration usually starts with a connector app or middleware, and for standard orders that is often enough. An SAP Business One Shopify integration needs more when Shopify Plus B2B companies, catalogs, and payment terms have to match business partners and price lists. An SAP ERP Shopify integration also has to follow the SAP team's IDoc or file standards. We build the custom app or middleware that closes either gap.
BigCommerce SAP Business One integration
For SAP Business One BigCommerce integration, B2B Edition customer groups, price lists, and quotes need to line up with business partners and price lists, and Multi-Storefront orders have to post to the right company database. BigCommerce SAP integration with SAP ERP follows the same pattern, with sold-to accounts, sales organizations, and condition pricing in place of price lists.

What an SAP B1 integration syncs, and which system owns each record.
Every SAP project starts from the same list, for Business One or SAP ERP, and then follows your setup. Each record gets an owner, a direction, a timing, and an error rule before anything is built.
Business partners, contacts, and ship-to addresses
SAP Business One business partners, or SAP ERP sold-to and ship-to accounts, mapped to storefront accounts and B2B companies, with payment terms, credit limits, and tax status carried through.
Price lists, special prices, and conditions
Business One price lists and special prices, or SAP ERP condition pricing, shown to each buyer at checkout, so the web price matches the price your reps quote.
Items, materials, and units of measure
SAP items or materials, variants, and units of measure such as case and each, mapped to the storefront catalog so buyers order the way your warehouse ships.
Inventory by warehouse or plant
Available stock by warehouse or plant, synced by API or scheduled file on the timing your volume needs, so the store promises only what you can ship.
Sales orders back to SAP
Web orders created as SAP sales orders, by API call, IDoc, or SAP-ready file, with payment, tax, freight, and PO numbers intact, and routed to the right sales organization or company.
Deliveries, invoices, and monitoring
Deliveries, tracking, and invoices returned to the customer account, plus logging, retries, and alerts so a failed file or call surfaces before a customer notices.

An SAP integration partner that stays after launch.
Same senior team from kickoff to launch and beyond. We do not outsource, we do not disappear after go-live, and we do not hand you off.
Across every phase. Discovery, build, launch, and growth, the same senior team stays with you.

Our job is to get you promoted.
You're going to love coming to work. Think of us as an extension of your team, here whenever you need us. Our mission is simple: your store wins, and so do you.
One team for the storefront and the SAP connection.
Most SAP integration problems sit between two teams: the agency that built the store and the people who run SAP. IWD builds the storefront and the integration, and works alongside your SAP team or SAP partner, so one team is accountable for an order getting from cart to SAP sales order.
SAP ERP at Fortune 500 scale
A scheduled, file-based SAP ERP integration for a Fortune 500 manufacturer's Magento Commerce parts store: orders out as SAP-ready files, inventory back by warehouse.
Built to your SAP standards
We work with the IDoc, BAPI, OData, Service Layer, or file standards your SAP side already runs, instead of asking SAP to change for the website.
B2B pricing done properly
Price lists, special prices, and pricing conditions are the hard part of an SAP integration and the core of our B2B practice.
Honest scoping
If a connector or the middleware you already run covers you, we recommend it. Custom work is for the rules that need it.
An SAP integration mapped with your SAP team before anything is built.
Business partners, pricing conditions, sales organizations, and file formats differ in every SAP company. Agreeing on them first is what keeps the integration quiet after launch.
Assess
A 30-minute call on your SAP system and version, your storefront, and what has to sync. If a connector or the middleware you already run fits, we tell you.
Map
We document which system owns customers, items, prices, and stock, how orders post, which interface or file format each record uses, and what happens on errors, with your SAP team or SAP partner.
Build and test
We build the storefront modules, connector setup, API calls, or file exchange, then run real sample orders for each customer type, payment method, warehouse, and sales organization.
Go live and support
We switch on live sync, watch the first weeks of orders, and support the integration through SAP changes, new warehouses, and catalog updates.
What teams ask before connecting their store to SAP.
The questions we hear most on the first call. If yours isn't here, just ask.
Can you integrate SAP Business One with Magento or Shopify?
Yes. We connect SAP Business One to Magento Open Source, Adobe Commerce, Shopify, and BigCommerce through the Service Layer, the DI API, or the connector or middleware you already use. We map business partners, price lists and special prices, items, warehouse stock, sales orders, deliveries, and invoices, and agree on the direction and timing of each record before anything is built.
What is the difference between an SAP Business One and an SAP ERP integration?
SAP Business One is built for small and midsize businesses and is usually connected through its Service Layer or a connector. SAP ERP, meaning ECC or S/4HANA, is usually run by an SAP team with its own integration standards, and data moves through IDocs, BAPIs, OData services, or scheduled file loads. The storefront work is similar; the SAP side, and who owns it, is different.
Should we use a connector or a custom SAP integration?
A connector is the right start when your customers, pricing, and orders are standard. Custom work makes sense when SAP holds customer-specific pricing, several warehouses, companies, or sales organizations, a second ERP, or custom fields a connector cannot map. Many projects combine the two, and we will tell you on the first call if a connector covers you.
Does an SAP integration have to be real time?
No. Orders, stock, and prices each need their own timing. For a Fortune 500 equipment manufacturer's Magento Commerce parts store, we built a scheduled, file-based SAP ERP integration: orders went to SAP as SAP-ready files over SFTP, first hourly and later every 15 minutes, and inventory files came back by warehouse. A well-monitored schedule can be the more dependable choice when that is how your SAP team already loads data.
Can our store show the B2B pricing and customer data we keep in SAP?
Yes. Business One price lists and special prices, or SAP ERP condition pricing, can drive what each buyer sees, along with payment terms, credit limits, and ship-to addresses. We decide with you whether prices sync on a schedule or are looked up live, based on catalog size and how often prices change.
Do you work with our SAP partner or internal SAP team?
Yes, and we expect to. Business One customers usually have an SAP partner, and SAP ERP customers usually have an internal SAP team. We agree on interfaces, file formats, and permissions with them, so each side owns its part and nothing changes in SAP without their review.
Is this the same as SAP Commerce Cloud?
No. SAP Commerce Cloud is SAP's own storefront platform, and moving your store onto it is a different project. This page is about connecting a Magento, Adobe Commerce, Shopify, or BigCommerce store to SAP Business One or SAP ERP, so SAP stays the system of record and your storefront stays on the platform you chose.
Do you support the integration after launch?
Yes. SAP changes, new warehouses, new sales organizations, and catalog updates all touch the integration. We provide ongoing monitoring and support alongside the rest of your store.
Tell us which SAP system you run and what your team still keys in by hand.
Send us your storefront platform, your SAP system (Business One, ECC, or S/4HANA), and the work your team repeats every day. We will come back within one business day with an honest read on the right approach.
